At this special performance, emerging bassist, composer and educator Iris Ornig features an exquisite collection of songs from around the world, which made history – songs from the Great American Songbook to contemporary pop music, as well as traditional folk music. Iris Ornig is recognized for her musical versatility, her distinct sound, and her ability to evoke a range of emotions, taking bold risks by breaking away from musical tradition. Through her music collection Iris takes her audience on a journey of mystery, joy and love.

Iris Ornig was born in Germany and attended the Jazz School in St. Gallen and Guildhall School of Art and Drama in London. She moved in 2003 to the USA--residing in New York City--to continue her musical career.
